About the Instructor
Although Mr. Molony did not attend Sam Barlow High School, he is a native Oregonian and has called Barlow home for the past 20 years. He has taught a variety of courses in the CTE department including Marketing, Business and Computer Science courses. Mr. Molony is currently working to expand the computer science classes and is excited to offer courses in Exploring Computer Science and Cyber Security. In addition to teaching, he provides leadership to the CTE department as department chair. Away from school, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, coaching baseball and spending time outdoors.

Sam Barlow High School's Computer Information Systems Program provides students with a variety of skills and knowledge related to computer science, programming, graphic arts and video production. Students will learn how to use industry standard software to edit images and videos. They will learn how to program in Javascript and Python; developing animations, games, apps and programming robotics. This program provides a valuable foundation for future careers in graphics/media arts, computer science and cyber security.
