Education Program Overview

Sam Barlow High School’s Education Program of Study provides students with a variety of skills and knowledge about child development, education and education related careers, and opportunities to work in Gresham-Barlow schools. A partnership with Eastern Oregon University allows students to earn college credit for classes taken in the Education Program of Study while in high school. This program provides a valuable foundation for future careers in education, child and family services, parenting, and medical or service careers focused on children from conception to the age of 18.

Tiffany Pate received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education along with a certification in Early Childhood Education from Linfield University and her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from George Fox University. She is passionate about all children having access to a high quality education. Mrs. Pate recognizes the importance of high quality teachers in student’s lives and desires to help students choose careers serving their community through education.
